This recording is from a conversation with management at Del Rey Village Apartments in Dallas, Texas on August 29, 2025. It documents their response after I reported the roof collapse in my son’s bedroom. My son is terrified to return to his room due to safety concerns and the possibility of mold exposure. Despite the seriousness of the incident, management has not conducted a proper mold inspection or fully addressed the unsafe living conditions. This recording is submitted as evidence of their handling of the situation.
I would make a claim if you have insurance. it’s not safe for him to use anything out that room
This is exactly what is happening in The Oaks brand new senior community. They came in and did a bandage job to our units as well. If you get a lawyer plthat will tackle Texas please drop me a line . I am now on a inhaler and 5 coats were destroyed with mold and the poor management team here told me that’s what renters insurance is for, but I didn’t cause the mold, this is the second time .
that is not what renters insurance is for. it covers the cost of your losses due to negligence and incidents of other’s negligence
Management needs to do BETTER. I’ts not safe at all.
contact the health department and code compliance
do u have pics of the mold u are talking about?
yup
And if you had renters insurance, it would cover everything no matter who is that fault but I guess she probably don’t and now you want somebody to pay for it when I’m sure there’s more to the story that like water spots that happen overtime and you just ignored so it sounds like me you’re just trying to collect a big old check for free
that is not what renters insurance is for .
please do your research before u just assume someone wants a check.. it is for damage to property not because it’s a crappy lying apartment complex. u must be a slum lord
they should have been moved to a decent apartment mold is one thing but the roof came in, this is not a safe living space, and they should be held accountable!
Those apartments have been the slums for forever. I lived in Del Ray in 2010 and my apartment had mold and my kids kept having asthma attacks every other day so I moved cause they kept bs on fixing any problems. I sent certified letters and they still fixed nothing so my family and I moved out with the quickness. All them apartments in that area are slum apartments.
