Officer Involved Shooting at 1200 Presidio Avenue
On January 17, 2026, at approximately 5:15 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a report of a man shooting a gun in the 1200 block of Presidio Avenue. When officers arrived, they observed a man, armed with at least one gun in the street. Officers confronted the suspect and gave loud, verbal commands to drop the gun. The suspect did not comply. The officers fired, striking the man at least once. The officers began rendering medical aid until Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and transported him to the hospital in stable condition.
No officers were injured in this incident. This is an active investigation, and updates will be provided in the coming days.
