Maryland Hairstylist Sentenced to 5 Years, 6 Months of Home Detention for Dragging Client in Viral Video

A Maryland hairstylist, 19-year-old Jayla A. Cunningham, has been sentenced to five years, with all but six months suspended, including six months of home detention after a video surfaced showing her dragging a 15-year-old client by her hair during a dispute over payment. Cunningham was convicted of second-degree assault in November following the incident that occurred in March. The conflict arose when the teenager left the salon without paying the $150 fee for a weave service. In her account, Cunningham stated she acted out of concern for not being compensated, alleging that the girl attempted to flee without paying. The shocking video she posted herself captured the altercation, leading to legal repercussions and widespread media attention.

that’s good justice for that young lady…
ghetto skank
🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️she put the evidence out there on herself. Got to be more careful with putting too much on the internet.
First of all you didn’t have the right too put your hands on her you should’ve called the police and let them solve that issue but me personally I don’t think it could never ever happen to me yall be quick to do theses young girls like that but what if her mom came and killed you and thought nothing about you and nobody in there, that’s how people loose their lives
