A man is in custody after fatally shooting a woman Friday morning.
Around 7 a.m. Dallas officers responded to a disturbance call on the 9500 block of Royal Lane. When they arrived they found the victim, Unetria Williams,47, with a gunshot wound.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
After further investigating officers learned there was some sort of altercation between Williams and 40 year old Demarcus Gates.
Around 12:30 p.m. Gates was booked into Dallas County jail for murder. He remains in custody on a $500,000 bond.
