Early Monday morning, several people were taken into custody in Dallas after assaulting an officer during a crash response.
Around 12:05 a.m. on January 19, 2026, Dallas Police responded to a call for assistance on the 500 block of North Zang Boulevard. While investigating the crash, a crowd gathered and began attacking officers and disrupting the investigation. Additional officers were sent to manage the scene and arrest multiple individuals. Fortunately, no officers were injured.
Carlos Nolasco, 21, was charged with interfering with public duties and resisting arrest, search, or transport. Joel Huerta, 36, was detained for possession of a controlled substance under one gram and interference with public duties. Jaqueline Ramirez Reyes, 26, faced charges of assaulting a peace officer. Jennifer Hernandez, 23, and Yadira Saldago, 28, were arrested for public intoxication and for warrants they held. The investigation remains ongoing.
