A significant winter storm is forecasted to impact the Dallas-Fort Worth area this weekend.

Expect temperatures to dip into the low 20s, with a strong likelihood of precipitation, including snow. Temperatures will plunge to around freezing on Friday night and remain below 32 degrees until at least Sunday afternoon. There’s a possibility they could drop again afterward, potentially delaying the return to stable, above-freezing conditions until midday Monday.

According to The Weather Channel, snowfall is expected to begin around 10 a.m., with a 90% chance of precipitation. The forecast indicates Dallas could receive between 3 to 5 inches of snow and ice, with ongoing snow showers throughout the night and temperatures staying in the low 20s.
