On the morning of October 23, 2025, two police officers responded to a serious vehicular collision on I-30, where a female driver and her infant were ejected from the vehicle. The infant was found pinned beneath the overturned car and unresponsive. Sgt. R. Nichols and Officer E. Bounds, aided by witnesses, managed to free the infant. Sgt. Nichols performed CPR, reviving the child and keeping her alive until medical personnel arrived. Both the woman and infant are currently in stable condition and expected to fully recover. The police department expressed pride in the officers’ life-saving actions and gratitude towards the Fort Worth citizens who offered assistance.
