Two people were killed with a switch (modified gun) after a fight near Texas State University.

Two individuals have died and several others have been taken into custody following a shooting close to the Texas State University campus, according to the San Marcos police. The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday near the intersection of San Antonio Street and Guadalupe Street, prompting an investigation in which the police confirmed two fatalities. In a Facebook post, the police stated that multiple individuals had been detained and assured the public that there was no ongoing threat. By 7:30 a.m. Saturday, the police announced that the streets in the vicinity had been cleared. Authorities are urging anyone with information, photos, or videos related to the shooting to reach out to the San Marcos police.
