A video circulating online shows the owner of Tow Pro Wrecker Service in Red Oak allegedly cursing at a man who asked for a copy of the company’s tow fee schedule.
The confrontation happened as someone was trying to recover a stolen RV belonging to a homeless man battling cancer. Supporters say the company is demanding $1,500 to release the vehicle, a price they claim is far higher than typical tow costs in nearby counties.
Some residents are now calling for Ellis County officials to review towing practices and create clearer regulations to prevent possible overcharging.
