24-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot Outside Of Texas Bowling Alley While Trying To Protect His Family
One man has died after a shooting occurred outside a west Houston bowling alley. The gunman is still on the run.
The incident happened Sunday, close to 1:15 a.m., outside of Bowlero on Bunker Hill, close to Woodsage.
Authorities say that after the establishment closed, two groups of people began having a disagreement. Two gunshots were heard, and a 24-year-old man, Greg Shead, died.
Police say that the suspects fled in a possible white SUV.
No weapons have been located.
Shead was a father of an 11-month-old daughter and a great basketball player, his grandfather noted. He had moved to California recently but had come to Texas to visit. He added that Shead was trying to protect his mother and sister when he was fatally shot.
Detectives are speaking with witnesses and looking at surveillance footage to get more information on the shooter.
