A 5 year old Texas boy was found deceased after being swept away in heavy flood waters.
On May 5, just before 2 a.m., Johnson County police responded to a call regarding a vehicle being stuck in high waters off County Road 528 near Burleson.
The 911 caller told authorities that they saw three people get out of the vehicle and attempt to get to safety when they were swept away by high waters.
Johnson County Sheriffs and the fire department arrived and immediately began searching for the three.
Around 5 a.m. they located an adult male and female who were transported to local hospitals with their condition unknown.
The 5 year old was found deceased in the water a couple of hours later.
