54-Year-Old Grandmother Dies After Being Swallowed By Enormous Python

A woman, only known as Jarah, is thought to have been swallowed by a 22-foot python, in Indonesia.

The 54-year-old went missing in the Jambi province, on October 21. She is said to have gone in the jungle to search for rubber, near her residence. Her husband had searched everywhere for her but only found Jarah’s jacket, headscarf, sandals, and a knife.

After looking for the woman, local residents discovered an enormous python, in a forest, with a bulging stomach. Reports indicate that it was cut open, and the woman’s body was discovered inside.

The python most likely killed the woman by wrapping itself arround her, suffocating her, officials say.

“Residents killed the snake and dissected its stomach. Everyone was astonished. It turned out that the woman we were looking for was in the snake’s stomach.”

No one witnessed the grandmother be eaten by the snake as she had gone into the forest by herself.
