55 Million Meth Tabs And 1.5 Million Tons of Crystal Meth Seized In Drug Bust

Laos authorities conducted the largest drug bust ever in Asia Wednesday.
Authorities stopped a truck carrying beer crates in northern Bokeo, which borders Thailand and Myanmar.
The area known as the Golden Triangle area has served as a massive production centre for amphetamine-type stimulants, especially methamphetamine.
Laos police managed to intercept 55 million meth tabs and 1.5 million tons of crystal meth.
The record bust comes after police recently seized a combined 16 million amphetamine tablets in two separate operations in the same area over a one week period.
