A 67-year-old East Los Angeles woman was hospitalized after a man assaulted her outside of her apartment.
Police are searching for 21-year-old Sergio Andrew Garcia after video footage recorded by neighbors show him beating Rosalina Martinez, 67.
According to witnesses, Garcia, unprovoked, approached Martinez while she was sweeping outside of her apartment. He repeatedly punched her in the face before pulling down her pants and underwear. Neighbors intervened and Garcia fled the scene on a bicycle.
The 67-year-old woman was taken to the hospital and suffered a concussion, broken nose, and multiple cuts and bruises.
Authorities believe the suspect may be responsible for a similar attack on another woman earlier that day.
