On Wednesday, lockdowns at Texas prisons took place across the state due to the increase of the murders of inmates.
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice has stated that this is to help deal with the increase in “dangerous contraband and drug-related inmate homicides” over the last five years.
TDCJ has said that there have been 16 inmate murders committed by other inmates in its correctional facilities thus far in 2023. Most of them are thought to be drug-related.
This has led to a lockdown and overall search of all the prisons.
Because of this, all visitation will be canceled until further notice is provided. However, inmates are still able to use the phone system and tablets.

INSTEAD IF THESES SO CALLED PRISON AND Jail GAURDS BRINGING DRUGS AND BULLSHIT IN TO THE SYSTEM , THEY NEED TO REMEMBER THESE ARE HUMAN BEINGS IN JAILS AND PRISONS AND QUIT TREATING THEM LIKE THERE NOT HUMAN !!!! THESES GAURDS AND STAFF NEEDS TO BECOME ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE SHIT THERE DOING !!!THEY THINK THIS SHIT IS A FUCKIN MOVIE -WELL NOTS NOT AND OTS NOT OK !!! WHEN THE GAURDS AND STAFF ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR THERE SHIT ! THIS CREATES MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES FOR THE PRISONERS THEY NEED TO REMEMBER WHO EVER THERE TRYING TO FUCK OFF IN PRISON IS SOMEONES SON, DAUGHTER, COUSIN OR SOMEONES FAMILY MEMBER !! Sadly most of drugs, cigarettes is brought in by employee not family visiting
They need to lock down the guards, and then no more problems.
