Burak Hezar, from Allen, Texas, has been sentenced to life in prison for killing two family members.
Hezar pleaded guilty to capital murder charges for the fatal stabbings of his mother and 17-year-old sister. He was given his punishment without the chance of parole.
In April 2021, the victims were discovered shot to death at their residence in Allen.
Hezar was apprehended at DFW Airport. Authorities said that he was planning on traveling to California to kill his father.
Hezar’s attorney stated last year that his client has a history of mental health problems.
