The U.S. Marshals are searching for 22-year-old John Edward Rivera for fatally shooting a man in Balch Springs, Texas, almost three months ago.

On July 2, Bertin Albarran was shot and killed on Lake June Rd. Relatives say that he had been at a party about a mile away with a woman he was dating.

This week, authorities released a picture of Rivera as a murder warrant has been issued. Rivera resides at the home where the party took place, but his whereabouts are unknown.

Additionally, it isn’t known how Rivera became to be the suspect or what the motive was. But, authorities do say that Albarran’s 2018 Chevy Camaro that was loaned to him by his sister was found in the vicinity of the party.

Records show that neither the victim nor the suspect has a criminal record.

Anyone with details of Rivera’s whereabouts is urged to call the U. S. Marshal North Texas Fugitive Task Force at (972) 978-1765.
