An intruder was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon in an East Dallas apartment complex while breaking into an apartment.
Police were called out to a burglary on the 2600 block of Highland Rd around 2:30. When the authorities arrived the 54 year old homeowner had shot an intruder for breaking into the apartment and assaulting him.
The name of the suspect has not been released but the shooter was taken into custody for questioning and later released.
