One man is dead and another is in police custody after two city workers got into a physical altercation that left one man dead.
Officers responded to a fight on the 7000 block of Red Bud Dr and when they arrived they found Clarence Ross,51 laying on a stretcher being treated by DFR.
He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
During investigation officers learned that Ross and another employee Christopher Davis,44 were collecting brush and bulk garbage when the two got into a verbal altercation that turned physical.
Davis began punching Ross with his fist multiple times and when other workers broke the two up Davis broke free and started kicking and punching him while he was unconscious.
He then fled the scene in his car and was later arrested by police at his residence.
He was taken into custody and charged with murder.
