A photograph of an ant’s face that was submitted to a photography competition has stirred up quite the conversation.
The closeup photo sent into the 2022 Nikon Small World Photomicrography Competition by Eugenijus Kavaliauskas won a prize and left people talking about the “demonic” photo they’d seen.
The Lithuanian photographer used a microscope technique which allowed him to magnify the ant’s face.
This rarely-seen technique allows photographers to capture images that the average human eye can not see.
