In March, the New York Giants may allow their star running back to reach free agency.

Now, Saquon Barkley could be playing for the Dallas Cowboys.

“He can catch. He can run. I think his pass protection has actually gotten better. Based on the way Tony Pollard played, I actually think Barkley would improve that position for the 2024 Cowboys,” said ex-NFL general manager and current analyst Mike Tannenbaum during an episode of ESPN’s “Get Up,” while speaking about why the Cowboys should consider him.

This past season, Barkley finished with 962 rushing yards, six touchdowns, and an average of 3.9 yards per carry. In addition to that, he had 41 receptions for 280 yards and four more scores.

Barkley was connected with Dallas back in January after several NFL writers foreshadowed that the Giants General manager Joe Schoen won’t stop the 27-year-old from becoming a free agent in a couple of weeks.
