Dallas Life Homeless Shelter Closed After 17 People Test Positive For Coronavirus

2.5kviews

The Dallas Life homeless shelter had to be evacuated and closed down Friday after 17 people tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
All 171 people staying in the shelter including the 17 that tested positive were taken to a 14 day quarantine after being tested for the virus.
Executive director Bob Sweeney said “The Health Department encouraged us to get everyone tested. So the last two days they tested 171 people and 17 came up positive. None of those 17 are showing any symptoms, but they thought it would be best that those 17 as well as everyone else, be placed in a 14-day quarantine off-site,”
