Father Arrested After Fatally Shooting Man Who Assaulted His Daughter

On Tuesday, 43-year-old Larry Hernandez was apprehended after he is said to have shot a man for assaulting his daughter.

Hernandez has been charged with the killing of Ron Quardi, who was discovered deceased inside of a vehicle on Sunday.

The incident occurred close to 10:30 p.m. at the Mandalay Villa Apartments in San Antonio, Texas. When officers arrived on the scene, they found Quardi dead inside of a grey colored Dodge Charger. He had multiple gunshot injuries to the back.

Detectives discovered a video of Quardi’s car being driven by the suspect and left in a parking lot. The suspect, Hernandez, and a woman had checked into a hotel that was close by, for the night.

A witness disclosed to authorities that Quardi and Hernandez had been having a dispute over the phone for two days. Quardi had claimed that Hernandez had stolen money from him. After not hearing from Quardi after that, the witness used her iPhone locator to figure out Hernandez’s location.  She then found Hernandez standing next to Quardi’s car while he was dead in the backseat.

Another witness said that she overheard two gunshots and saw Hernandez put Quardi’s body in the car before driving off.

Then, another witness disclosed that they saw Hernandez chase down Quardi in the parking lot before shooting him twice with a .40 caliber handgun.
