Tyler Smith, Elizabeth Adams, Corey McCourt, Minge Wright, and Melvin Barnes were apprehended following an undercover sting operation in Dallas County.
Authorities say that the operation, which spanned over several weeks, was implemented as a result of the increase of meth brought into the country.
All five people are facing drug charges.
“…not only are they using meth, which most of them are, they are also distributing meth next to a school. And that’s what really lead us on and put the heat on them,” stated Sheriff Mike Granthum.
He added that several other individuals have warrants out for their arrest in relation to the matter and more arrests are coming.
