Food Stamp Benefits To Increase 25% Permanently

2.3kviews

The Biden Administration has improved a significant increase in food stamp assistance available to needy families. They say it will be the biggest increase in the programs history.
Beginning in October average benefits for food stamps will rise more than 25% above pre pandemic levels. The increased amount is indefinitely to all 42 million recipients.
With this revision, the average monthly per person benefits will rise from $121 to $157.
The increase is part of a Biden Administration effort to build a safety net.
Activists say the previous levels of pre pandemic food stamp assistance weren’t enough, forcing many households to choose cheaper, less nutritious options or simply go hungry as the funds ran low toward the end of the month.
