Former Florida Officer Sentenced To 10 Years In Prison After Forcing Teens To Run Naked Through The Everglades

A former Florida police officer was sentenced to 10 years behind bars Wednesday for making two teens strip naked and run through the Everglades during a traffic stop back in 2016.
According to reports Michael Martinez,30 will be spending the next 10 years in a state prison after a grand jury found him guilty of two counts of extortion and unlawful compensation.
Martinez pulled the teens over back in August of 2016 when they ran a red light.
During the stop Martinez found marijuana and alcohol inside the vehicle.
He then told the teens to follow him to an isolated area, strip naked and run across the Everglades and if they didn’t he would take them to jail.
The teens who were 18 at the time said they went along with it because they felt they didn’t have a choice.
Martinez bond was set at $20,000.
