Former Fort Worth Police Officer Arrested by Azle Police For 2021 Family Violence Charge

A Fort Worth police officer was arrested Monday in connection to a 2021 domestic disturbance in Azle, Texas.

The incident happened on November 30,2021 when Azle police responded to a domestic disturbance call involved 16 year veteran FWPD officer, Nickolas Honea.

Once FWPD learned of Honea’s involvement theh immediately started an investigation and placed the officer on restricted duty.

During the course of the investigation Honea was stripped of all his police powers.

On August 22, 2022 Azle PD obtained an arrest warrant for Honea involving the family violence charge.

He subsequently turned himself into the Tarrant County Sheriff’s office.
