The Fort Worth Fire Department is deeply saddened to have to mourn the loss of one of their own fellow officers.
Lieutenant Garey Pugh, 56, was involved in a motorcycle crash, while riding off duty, Saturday when he died.
No further details regarding the accident have been released at this time.
The Fort Worth FD released a statement to social media stating, “The Fort Worth Fire Department is deeply saddened to announce the unexpected loss of one of our own. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this incredibly difficult time.”
Lieutenant Pugh’s was with the department for 34 years.
