Fort Worth police are searching for a man that shot and killed a store clerks dog during a robbery earlier this week.

On January 2, around 1:30 p.m., officers were called to Sunny’s Mart, a convenience store, on the 6000 block of N. Main Street for a robbery.

When they arrived they learned the store clerks dog, Peanut, had been shot by the robbery suspect.

On January 5 FWPD released video surveillance that showed an unknown male, wearing a light or white colored hoodie, attempt to walk behind the counter.

While doing so the suspect is confronted by the store clerks dog. The suspect is then seen shooting the dog and pointing his weapon at the clerk while taking money from the register and her car keys.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery is asked to contact Fort Worth PD 817-392-4115 or 911.
