Georgia Officer Shot And Killed During Traffic Stop

A Georgia police officer was shot and killed during a traffic stop Thursday and the suspect was shot and killed by fellow officers.
According to reports an officer in DeKalb County was shot by a suspect, whose name has not been released, during a traffic stop that went bad along Candler Road Thursday afternoon around 5pm.
The suspect tried to flee the scene by foot which led to a foot chase. While in pursuit the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the officer in the back of his head and also shot his K9.
Fellow officers heard the shots and open fired shooting the suspect several times.
The officer and suspect were both transported to a nearby hospital where they later died due to their injuries. The K9 was in critical condition as of Thursday evening.
DeKalb County police Chief James Conroy stayed that the officer has been with the force less than 2 years and graduated from the academy in October 2017.
The Georgia Bureau Of Investigation are investigating the shooting.
