A high school senior was shot and killed by her alleged boyfriend just days before graduating in an apparent murder suicide.
On May 24, Fayetteville PD responded to a shooting call at a residence, on the 3700 block of Carlos Ave, around 8:15 a.m.
Upon arrival they found the victim, 18 year old Tatiana Haywood, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound and the suspect, 18 year old Nasir Scott, suffering from what appeared to be a self inflicted gunshot wound.
Scott was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
Haywood was a senior at Douglas Byrd High School and was set to graduate.
At this time authorities are still investigating and gathering details to determine a possible motive for the fatal shooting.
