A Houston-based rapper was arrested for allegedly keeping a woman captive at his home for 4 to 5 years.

Lee Carter, otherwise known by his stage name Viper, was arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping on Thursday, January 4th.

Houston police say the woman was discovered severely underweight and filthy. She had informed officers that she was held captive for around 5 years, being forced to live in his garage.

The victim stated that when she was kidnapped, she was pregnant and Carter picked her up off the streets while panhandling and took her to his South Houston home. He then held her captive, sexually abusing and forcing her to use crack cocaine.

The 52-year-old rapper was booked into the Harris County Jail and given a $100,000 bond.
