For those who are currently behind in child support, no need to worry because there is a program called the Incentive program under Texas.Fam.Code 231. 124.
This states that if you are behind in child support and are paying at the same time, it will match you dollar for dollar. The amount that had been matched is applied to your credit.
Although the amount paid is not sent directly to the child, it does help decrease the amount of debt leftover. For example, if you were to pay one thousand dollars for child support then that would match you with one thousand and the overall amount paid to child support would be two thousand dollars.
