Infant Found Wrapped Up In A T Shirt In Some Bushes In Front Of Waxahachie Townhome
Waxahachie police are investigating after an infant was found wrapped up in a t shirt in some bushes.
On Thursday, August 18, 2022 about 8:36 a.m. officers received a 911 call regarding an infant that was found in the bushes at Bent Tree Town Homes on the 1700 Block of South IH-35E.
When officers arrived they found a newborn infant male in the bushes wrapped in a T-shirt.
The infant was treated by first responders and transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Waxahachie where he remains in good condition.
After investigating, officers have identified the mother of the infant but have released her name due to her age.
The infant is currently in custody of The Child Protective Services , and no charges have been filed at this time.
