22 year-old Buk M. Buk has been apprehended for the murder of 21 year-old Aaron Lowe.

After being identified as the assailant, Buk was arrested on Sunday morning. He has been charged with aggravated murder, attempted murder, and felony discharge of a firearm.

Lowe was a popular football player at the University of Utah. While attending a house party on September 26, he was shot.

A 20 year-old female was also shot and remains in critical condition at a hospital.

Authorities have not released a motive for the occurrence. However, they did say that the violence was not intended to be towards the school, Lowe, nor was it gang-related.

Lowe graduated from West Mesquite High School in Texas. He was close friends with Ty Jordan, another Utah player that graduated from the same high school. Jordan passed away in an accidental shooting in December.

In August, Lowe had just become the first person to receive the Ty Jordan Memorial Scholarship.
