Man Kills Mom’s Boyfriend, In Tarrant County, After He Tells Him To “Be Quiet”

A man was taken into custody over the weekend after killing his mother’s boyfriend.

Trace Hemphill, 31 is facing murder charges for the death of his mother’s boyfriend 52 year old Byron Blackwell.

According to reports, Hemphill was kicked out his mother’s home a few weeks ago, on Norfork Rd, and was over her house washing clothes Saturday. While washing clothes words were exchanged between Blackwell and Hemphill.

Blackwell told Hemphill to “hush, be quiet” and that’s when Hemphill shot him in the head.

Hemphill left the residence on foot before officers could arrive. He was arrested on Sunday and charged with murder, he remains in Tarrant County jail on a $200,000 bond.
