A mother is asking for justice after Duncanville PD used excessive force on her son.
The incident occurred Friday afternoon when a young man was walking through a neighborhood in Duncanville and someone called police on him.
The young man who had stopped in an alley to use the restroom was approached by three Duncanville police officers. The young man took off running bc he was scared and afraid.
Once officers were able to detain the unarmed male he was injured pretty badly and had to be transported to a hospital. He suffered severe spinal injuries that could possibly cause him to be paralyzed.
Officers handcuffed him to the hospital bed and then confiscated his cell phone once they found out his family was on the way.
The family has tried multiple times to reach out to Duncanville PD in regards to this incident and have gotten no response.
Attorney Justin Moore has since been retained as an attorney for this case.
