New York Woman That Calls Police On Black Man After He Asks Her To Put A Leash On Her Dog Terminated By Bank

A woman was terminated from her job and lost her dog after a video circulated over the internet of her calling the police on a black man after he asked her to put her dog on a leash at Central Park in New York.
Christian Cooper was in Central Park when he encountered Amy Cooper’s dog walking around with no leash.
Mr.Cooper asked Amy to put a leash on her dog and she refused and told him she would do what she wants.
Central Park has many rules posted throughout the park prohibiting dogs to be without a leash.
Amy and Mr.Cooper exchanged words when Mr.Cooper pulled out his video and began recording.
During that time Amy contacts police and tells them “An African American man is threatening my life”.
He responds with “Please tell them whatever you like.” Once on the phone with the police, she became hysterical and telling the operator “There’s a man, African American, he has a bicycle helmet. He is recoding me and threatening me and my dog.” And then she asks for the police to be sent out “immediately”.
Christian ended the video after she put her dogs leash on, and said “thank you.”
Once the New York Police arrived to the wooded area in Central Park Amy and Mr.Cooper were already gone.
Shortly after the video was released online Amy was quickly identified and The mutual fund Franklin Templeton tweeted “Following our internal review of the incident in Central Park yesterday, we have made the decision to terminate the employee involved, effective immediately. We do not tolerate racism of any kind at Franklin Templeton.”
She then made a public apology to everyone, saying that she was just “scared” because she had been alone in the wooded area. “I’m not a racist. I did not mean to harm that man in any way, It’s not excusable, it’s not defensible.”
Amy Cooper’s dog has also been taken by the Abandoned Angels Cocker Spaniel Rescue Inc,  the shelter where she had originally adopted the dog from years ago. The shelter will be investigating her treatment of the dog after what was seen of the dogs treatment in the video.
