Officer Involved Shooting; One Woman Dead

One woman is dead and a man injured following a shooting Tuesday afternoon in Allen.
Officers responded to a disturbance call on the 300 block of Central Expressway South.
While headed to the call they received another dispatch saying the call had been upgraded to a weapons call.
When officers arrived to the location they didn’t see a disturbance.
After looking around the area they saw a woman in a parking lot of 601 W. McDermott holding a rifle.
Officers then heard multiple shots and rushed to the area.
The woman still holding the rifle, took off running.
Officers fired one shot striking the woman in the back.
When officers arrived to the parking lot they found a man between two vehicles suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Both the man and woman were transported to an area hospital where the woman died from her injury and the man’s condition is unknown.
This investigation is ongoing.
