Karen and Tobias Thompson, both 55 year-olds from Ohio, have adopted two sets of twins. Their goal was to keep to the siblings together.
They first started taking care of 14 year-olds Wilnya and William, Karen’s niece and nephew, in 2015.
Almost a year later, they took on the twin’s half-siblings, 9 year-olds Shania and Sharleatha. They are twins, as well.
The couple, who were married in 2014, already had children from prior relationships. All seven of their children are grown now. They also have 28 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren.
After a year of marriage, the Thompson’s found out that Wilnya and William were having problems at home. Then, they found out that the other twins were in the foster care system and were being moved around alot.
After visiting, the second set of twins didn’t want to go back to the foster home.
On September 9, they were all adopted.
