After not showing up to work, a police officer and his wife were discovered dead in their residence by his supervisors.
Authorities arrived to the home of Officer Domingo Tavarez-Rodriguez, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, when he didn’t show up to work at about 6 p.m., on Friday.
Responders located the officer and his wife, Yenitza Arroyo Torres fatally shot in their home.
Tavarez-Rodriguez was a veteran and had been with the department since June 2021.
Since the killing involves a Fayetteville officer, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation has taken over the criminal investigation.
