At the Prefontaine Classic in Oregon next week, Sha’Carri Richarson will face three Jamaican 100-medalist champions.

Richardson came in first place in the same event in June at the Olympic Trials. The 21 year-old was suspended for a month after  positive test results revealed marijuana consumption.

Now, she will compete against Elaine Thompson- Herah, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Price, and Shericka Jackson. All three of these women won the top 3 places in Tokyo. Thompson-Herah even made history by finishing the 100m in 10.61 seconds.

All four will run next week at the University of Oregon on Saturday.

“Sha’Carri is focused on running a good race…executing her race to the best of her ability regardless of who is in the race,” her agent Renaldo Nehemiah stated.

Richardson had the third highest time in April, running the 100m in 10.72 seconds.

Next weekend, she will also be running the 200 meters.
