Shooting Outside Arlington Gentlemen’s Club Leaves One Dead, One Injured

A shooting at a gentlemen’s club in Arlington left one man dead and another injured early Sunday morning.

On April 21, around 1:13 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call on the 2700 block of Majesty Drive. Upon arriving officers located two men laying in the roadway suffering from gunshot wounds.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was transported to an area hospital where he was treated for non life threatening injuries.

While investigating officers learned that the suspected shooter and one of the victims got into a verbal altercation outside the club and while they were arguing a friend of the victim pulled up and shortly after shots were fired.

Authorities located a handgun next to the 40 year old male.

The suspected shooter, whose name has not been released, stayed at the scene, spoke with officers and was released. He is not expected to face any criminal charges.

Medical Examiner’s identified the deceased as 30 year old Abel Alberto Rodriguez.
