Three People Dead After Apparent Murder-Suicide in Murphy

Three people have died after a shooting at a Murphy residence Monday evening.

Murphy Police Department, along with Murphy paramedics, responded to a home in the 400 block of Whisperfield Drive around 6:15 p.m.

When they arrived they found a 57-year-old woman, with apparent gunshot wounds, deceased in the driveway. A 63-year-old man was located inside the home having suffered from apparent gunshot wounds as well. Both individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene.

A third person, a 35-year-old male, who police believe is the suspected shooter, was also located on the scene, suffering a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
