Two Suspected Human Traffickers Apprehended In Wylie

After receiving a tip from a victim, on September 13, the Wylie, Texas, Police Department started investigating an alleged human trafficking case.

29 year-old Syed Mohammad Ali was determined to have a warrant out for his arrest from Sacramento, California. This was involving unlawfully causing a minor to engage in commercial sex act.

After watching Syed Mohammad for a time, he was apprehended for the warrant.

On September 14, after working with different law enforcement forces, Syed Muratab Ali was arrested, too. This occurred in Murphy, Texas, after authorities determined he was wanted in Sacramento for promotion of prostitution.

Both individuals were taken to the Collin County Detention Center.

Syed Mohammad is facing charges in Texas for continuous trafficking of persons. Syed Muratab is charged with money laundering.

More charges could come as the case is on-going.
