An investigation is underway after a deceased woman’s body was found inside a Duncanville apartment.
On May 6, a little after 6 a.m., Duncanville police and firefighters responded to a structure fire call on the 600 block of Oriole Boulevard.
Upon arrival firefighters entered the apartment and located an unresponsive woman.
They quickly removed the woman from the apartment and learned she had been shot in the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The victims identity has not been released at this time.
Duncanville police arrested a person of interest at the scene on unrelated charges.
Authorities believe this to be an isolated incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
