On May 31, around 2:30 p.m., officers responded to a crash involving multiple vehicles at the intersection of Chenault Street and N. Buckner Blvd.
Upon arriving they learned that the lights weren’t working properly due to the storm. A woman was traveling eastbound on Chenault street attempting to make a left turn onto N. Buckner Blvd when she was struck by a vehicle traveling at a high speed of rate. The impact of the crash caused the woman to collide into another vehicle.
Authorities pronounced one woman dead at the scene and another was transported to an area hospital with her condition unknown. The driver that struck the woman was treated at the scene for minor injuries. He was later identified as 36 year old Jonathan Davis and arrested for outstanding warrants.
