Wrong Way Crash In Midlothian Leaves 2 People Dead And 2 Critically Injured

Midlothian police are investigating a wrong way crash that claimed the life of two people and critically injured two more.

On November 25, around midnight, officers received calls regarding a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Highway 287 near Waxahachie.

While in route officers received another call stating that the vehicle traveling north in the southbound lane had collided head on into another vehicle in the 3800 block of U.S. 287.

When officers arrived they found one of the vehicles on fire and pronounced the driver and one of its passengers of the vehicle traveling the wrong way dead at the scene.

Another passenger in the vehicle traveling the wrong way and the driver of the other vehicle were transported by care flight to area hospitals.

Authorities identified the victims as 38 year old Lakeshia Savala and Joanna Cain.

This investigation is ongoing.
