Royneco Harris, known as a 42-year-old gang member, had been labeled as the #1 Most Wanted Fugitive in Texas.
Harris was on trial for murdering a man and wounding the man’s son in 2019. In the midst of the trial, Harris removed his GPS monitoring device and fled.
The trial continued without the presence of Harris. Following a guilty verdict in his trial, Harris was sentenced to 99 years in prison.

Harris has a history of arrests and weapons charges. Harris was arrested in 2011 for a probation violation on previous federal charges. Also, in 2015 and 2018, Harris faced convictions for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
