A 15 year old boy is in custody after shooting a 17 year old in Garland Wednesday afternoon.
Officers responded to a shooting/disturbance call on the 2700 block of W. Walnut St.
Upon arrival officers found a 17 year old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg in the parking lot.
He was transported to a nearby hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Throughout the investigation officers learned that a a group of teens got into an altercation and shots were fired.
A 15 year old male was later identified as a suspect and arrested.
He was taken to Garland Juvenile Detention Center and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
